ChatGPT says you hit the limit—what actually works
When ChatGPT shows the usage-limit message, the cap applies to that account, on that plan, for that window. There is no safe trick that removes the cap itself; what you can do is choose how to spend the remaining quota and how to keep the task moving elsewhere until the reset.

Four legitimate ways to keep working
- Wait for the reset: limits refresh on a rolling window. Note the time the message appeared; the same task usually runs again without burning anything extra
- Switch models inside ChatGPT: the fastest models generally have the most headroom—move the remaining subtasks (drafting, reformatting) to the lighter model and save the heavy model for the steps that need it

Continue in another AI packs the conversation turns visible on the page into a context block and opens the destination site with it filled in. Long threads keep the most recent turns. Restate any early constraint that still matters (goal, format, deadline) at the top of your next message.
What to avoid
Bulk account creation, VPN rotation to dodge regional rules, or automation that fakes human pace violate the provider’s terms and put your account at risk. None of them raise the cap anyway.
