Privacy Policy
The principle is simple: your data only travels between your browser and the AI websites you choose. There is no ModelAny server. Prompts, chats, history and diagnostic logs are not uploaded.
1. Data ModelAny handles
- Drafts, model selections, settings, send history and diagnostic results are stored in the browser’s local extension storage.
- Memory library entries (archived AI conversations, comparison results, tags and notes) are stored in the browser’s IndexedDB. They are never uploaded. You can delete individual entries or clear the whole library.
- “Attach text” reads the active tab only when you click it. Local PDF parsing runs entirely in your browser; the file is never uploaded.
- “Attach transcript” (YouTube / Bilibili) runs only when you click it on a video page. Captions are read from that site inside the page with your existing session—no ModelAny or third-party server is involved.
- The toolbar on supported AI sites reads the conversation only when you click export, save or continue elsewhere. Exports are generated in your browser and saved as local files.
- ModelAny does not collect, sell or analyze personal data, and does not send prompts or diagnostic logs to a ModelAny server.
- The extension does not use remote code, tracking scripts or third-party analytics.
2. Data shared with AI websites
When you select a model and send a prompt, ModelAny opens the selected official AI website and fills or submits the prompt there. That website receives the prompt directly and processes it under its own privacy policy. ModelAny does not control how those websites handle submitted content.
3. Browser permissions
Page access uses the browser’s activeTab and scripting capabilities. They apply only to the tab you are on, at the moment you explicitly trigger an action (clicking the extension or using its context menu). ModelAny does not request blanket access to all websites and does not scan pages in the background.
4. Your controls
You can clear history or reset local data from Settings, and manage the memory library from the Memory page (delete entries or clear the whole library). Removing the extension also removes its local extension storage and IndexedDB data.
5. Website analytics
The modelany.app marketing site uses aggregate analytics (such as Google Analytics, Vercel Web Analytics, and Ahrefs Web Analytics) to understand overall traffic, and Google AdSense to serve ads. These advertising and analytics providers may use cookies or similar technologies to measure traffic and choose ads, as described in their own privacy policies. This applies to the website only—not the extension—and is not linked to your prompts.
6. Source and contact
You can review the source on GitHub. For privacy questions, email kyreemeng@gmail.com.
