Save a ChatGPT conversation and find it again later

Save the conversation before it is gone

ChatGPT saves conversations to your account history automatically—but that history is a server-side list that you can search only from the ChatGPT interface, that disappears if you delete it, and that mixes with everything else you have ever asked. Saving a conversation properly means making a copy you control: a searchable local library entry or a file on your disk.

Save a chat in two clicks

  1. Open the conversation on a supported AI site
  2. Click the ModelAny tab on the right edge → Save to memory (add a tag while you are there)
  3. For an off-browser copy, pick Markdown, Word or PDF in the same menu

Getting the conversation back

Open the Memory page from the extension popup, search by keyword or filter by tag, then bring a saved thread into the model you are about to use as context. This is how a chat survives moving between machines, models, or after clearing site data.

Privacy notes

The library and exports are generated and stored locally in your browser; ModelAny does not operate a server that receives them. Clearing the extension’s data or uninstalling it removes the library—export important chats to files if you also want copies outside the browser.
